For pigs that root under the net skirt, we recommend that you implement the rebar cleat trick. Use one to two ½” X 36” - 48" pieces of rebar between each anchor stake. These are placed into the ground to catch and secure the netting so the pigs cannot push under from the inside. The cleats should be driven into the ground at a 45-degree angle, with the top of the rebar pointing towards the center of the trap, ~6-8” inside the net skirt, with ~6” of rebar exposed above the ground.

**In order for this to stay a trick and not become the norm please note that prolonged use of the rebar can result in net damage, so it's important that the rebar should be removed once you have caught that exceptionally challenging pig.
